Mary Lai Preuss is an Associate Professor and Department Chair in the Biology Department at Webster University. She teaches courses in biology, plant physiology and research methods. Her current areas of research include plant cell biology, microbial ecology and bacteriophage discovery. Preuss received a BS in Biology with an emphasis in plant biotechnology from Cornell University, she has a PhD in plant biology from the University of California, Davis and worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher in Plant Cell Biology at the Donald Danforth Plant Science Center in St. Louis, Mo.
